Measuring loudness needs the device to capture audio, so a temporary recording is written to your phone while a session runs and is deleted the moment it stops. It never leaves your device and is never uploaded. Full detail is in the privacy policy.
You can decline the permission and the app still works — it simply times the whole session without the split.
If the app closed mid-session, reopen it. You'll be offered the unfinished session and can save it. Sessions are snapshotted every few seconds, so very little is ever lost.
It shouldn't — elapsed time is measured against the clock, not against the app being awake. If you see a session come up short, please email with roughly how long you practised and how long it recorded.
No. Strava is entirely optional and everything works without it. Connecting it simply means your practice appears on your Strava feed alongside your training.
On the sign-in screen tap Forgot password?. You'll be emailed a six-digit code to enter in the app.
In the app: Profile → Account → Delete Account. This permanently erases your account, your full practice history and your photos. It cannot be undone.
